ApexGiftBasketPros.com is a blog devoted to sharing information and insights about the gift basket industry. As an owner of Apex Gift Foods, a wholesale gourmet gift food distribution company, and Keystone Ribbon Company, a wholesale floral supply company, I host this blog and offer my experiences and expertise and opinions. (I’m the one wearing glasses! Maxie is my very loyal companion!)

So Why Blogging?
Before I started this blog, I was looking for ways that our business, Apex Gift Foods, could better serve our customers. There are several wholesale gourmet food companies in the market place, all offering a large selection of gourmet food products. So how could I make Apex “stand out from the crowd”?
So why am I blogging? I believe that we can all benefit by sharing what we do and what we know. It’s takes huge effort and know-how to make it in business these days, and I believe that we can all do it better if we ask for and offer help to others.
History and Mission!
If you don’t already know, Apex Gift Foods is a distributor of shelf stable gourmet food components. We are wholesale only: we sell to retail businesses, not to the public. My brother, Somer Jr. and I, bought Apex over 10 years (it used to be called Apex Neidinger Company).
Apex stocks over 300 gourmet food items including your favorites as well as many unusual products that you may not see from other distributors. My brother and I do the buying and we do our best to find new, exciting products that are priced right for you! It’s our goal to offer quality products at fair prices.
We’ve been fortunate to grow a loyal customer base over the past 10 years. This is in no small part due to our fabulous customer service staff whom we hope you get to know. Ask for Marlene, Toni, or Richie when you call in at 800-348-2369.
Our reps will also be able to help you with information from Apex’s sister company: Keystone Ribbon & Floral Supply. Keystone, a wholesale floral supply business, carries all the products that retail florists might use except fresh flowers. My dad started Keystone over 50 years (and still comes to work every day!) So in addition to an extensive line of gourmet products, there are lots of other products we carry that you can use in your gift basket businesses: baskets, novelty containers, shreds, wraps, ribbons, enhancements and more.
Our mission is to be partners with our customers: PARTNERS IN PROFITS! And we strive to do this in part, with our Apex Xtras Program.
Apex Xtras!
Our blog, ApexGiftBasketPros, is one way we provide “Xtras” to our readers and customers of Apex Gift Foods. A second way that we try to “partner with our customers” is to offer “Apex Xtras”. These include regular sales and promotions that are posted on our web site, as well as our new Apex Xtras Rewards Program.
