Last year I participated in an adopt a grandparent program. $10/per was collected and the money pooled to create gifts for the nursing homes participating in the program. Everyone contributing $10 was encouraged to write a personal note to their "grandparent". It was a great experience and ensured those who have outlived their family would have a little something Christmas morning. Lorie, I love these ideas!
