Cinco de Mayo: Celebrate and Save!
May 2nd, 2006 at 12:45pm Lorie Obernauer

The 5th of May: Cinco de Mayo! A day to celebrate freedom and liberty. On that day in 1862, four thousand Mexican soldiers defeated the French army that was twice as large and stopped their invasion into Mexico.
That victory kept Napoleon from supplying our Confederate army. This allowed the United States to build the greatest army the world had ever seen. This US army went on to defeat the Confederates at Gettysburg marking the end of the Civil War.
At Apex Gift Foods, we’re celebrating the holiday with a 10% off sale on selected cheeses, sausages, crackers and beverages: all you’d need for a Cinco de Mayo party!
Check out our web site to take advantage of this promotion. Write “CincodeMayo” in the comments section of your order form or mention this code if you place your order by phone.

Retailers should look for local Cinco de Mayo events and tie in to those. Perhaps you can donate a fiesta gift basket design for a raffle or floral arrangements for the tables.
