There are those that claim that by eating chocolate, you’ll live longer and those that claim it can cause everything from headaches to high cholesterol.

Chocolate is by far the right answer to many questions. As gift basket retailers, however, remember that shipping chocolate in the upcoming summer months is tricky, if not downright discouraged.
Some chocolate manufacturers won’t ship during the heat spells. Others will only ship second day or overnight. Once you receive the chocolate you’ll need adequate storage that is temperature controlled. Then you’ll need to ship or deliver the chocolate-laden design with care.
So as the hot season approaches think of substitutes that are not so fragile such as hard candies or jellybeans.

At Apex Gift Foods, we stop shipping chocolates soon after Mother’s Day. Even with special packing and overnight shipments, we have found that shipping chocolates during warm weather months too often results in spoilage. As you mentioned Flora, we encourage customers to select other products such as cookies and candies.
